The fourth Virtual Learning Event for Delta Center CA Learning Lab participants will take place on Wednesday March 9th, 2022. Led by Artrese Morrison and Tee Harrell, teams will delve back into the Antiracism Data Equity Framework that was introduced in December. This time, team will have an opportunity to dig deeper into the work required to create real individual and organization change. The speakers will present a case study with the CHCN/Axis/LifeLong team. Then, each team will reflect deeply on their work and how the framework applies to their Antiracism intentions and goals.
The 3rd Virtual Learning Event, titled "Antiracism Data Equity Framework," took place on Tuesday December 14th. Participants heard from two guest speakers, Artrese Morrison from Health Leads and Tanissha "Tee" Harrell from 2-1-1 San Diego.
The second Virtual Learning Event took place on November 3rd, 2021. The event focused on building and sustaining a diverse and representative integrated workforce, through a panel and Q&A discussion with three experts:
Alfonso Apu, Director of Behavioral Health at Community Medical Centers in San Joaquin County
Nira Singh, Director of Behavioral Health at Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI) in Santa Clara County
Eleanor Castillo-Sumi, VP of Research & Program Development at Uplift Family Services in Santa Clara County
The Learning Lab teams and State Roundtable participants also had opportunity to collaborate and learn from each other during breakout rooms focused on 1. Career Pathways and 2. Integrating the Behavioral Health & Primary Care Workforce.
Delta Center California hosted a Virtual Learning Event on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021. The event focused on the foundations of behavioral health and primary care integration. Participants heard a presentation from Sara Gavin, the Chief Behavioral Health Officer at CommuniCare Health Centers, and then had the opportunity to discuss integration challenges and solutions with members of other teams. Participants either focused broadly on challenges related to primary care and behavioral health integration, or more specifically on using telehealth for integrated care.
